Typical job responsibilities include but not restricted to:
1. Turbine Engineering/ Solar Module Engineering
Evaluation of new turbine technologies/ Solar Inverter / Solar Panels from life cycle management perspective, Development of standard Operating Process, Documentation Management required for Life Cycle Management.
2. Performance Monitoring of Assets
Evaluate performance improvement areas in operating plants
Develop deployment plan, Budget, Procurement Plan, Suppliers
Identify retrofit and Design change needs in Operating plants and develop strategy for implementation
Development and deployment of strategy for Life extension/repowering avenues in operating plants
3. Vendor Development
Development of Supplier of functional equivalent suppliers
Drive cost optimization and redundancy of suppliers of spares for O&M
Development of special tools required for O&M large correctives, Jigs, Crane less solutions
Identify and develop repair centres for Electronics cards, Generator, Gearbox, Blades
4. Technical Support to Project Development
Lead technical due diligence of new projects in completing , Energy Yield Assessment, Gird impact studies, Requirements from Operations perspective , Product assessment from Serviceability , Life Cycle Management, Opportunities from Product Capacity Upgrade with safe limits, Supplier of Spares, Logistics and Lifting , Safety Practices. Work with Project Development team in framing contract terms (Warranties, Defect liability, SCADA capabilities, Office and Other Infrastructure).
5. People Management
Development of training strategy for Internalizing O&M
Development of training tools and centre O&M
Framing refresher course for Deployed O&M team
Cross Functional Interactions:
Key External: OEM, Third Party Consultants (Recertification Agencies, Gird Studies), SCADA developers, Spares Manufacturer / Suppliers, Tools suppliers, Control Software Developers
Key Internal: Projects Team, Finance, O&M Team, Regulatory Team, Asset Management Head
Desired experience and expertise:
B.E. / B. Tech – Electrical; Masters in Renewables Technology preferred with a minimum experience of 8 - 10 years.
Should have knowledge of working in solar grid scale plants engineering and O&M, Wind Turbine Engineering, Load flow studies, running COE in O&M, Asset Life Cycle Management exposure, Conducting technical due diligence in operating plant evaluation
